Restaurant opened in December as first of three locations in development agreement for the Savannah market; caps off record year of growth for Eggs Up Grill brand
SAVANNAH, Ga. â A pair of childhood friends are realizing their dream of entrepreneurship, and have opened their first of three Eggs Up Grill restaurants in Savannah. The opening is part of the breakfast, brunch and lunch brandâs focus on expanding in Georgia where there are now five locations. Restaurants currently under development will grow that number to more than a dozen within the next two years.
Located at 5710 Ogeechee Road in Savannah, Eggs Up Grill serves guests seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. with dine-in, online ordering, takeout and delivery options available. Franchise owners Heath and Amy Greene and Ben Sheppard became fans of the restaurant brand and felt it was time to bring the restaurant to the Savannah community.
âI knew it was time for a change after years in the corporate world, but never in my wildest dreams did I think Iâd open a restaurant,â said Heath Greene, co-owner of the new Savannah restaurant. âMy family loves eating at Eggs Up Grill, and we started to entertain the idea of opening our own. The more I learned, the more I was attracted to the brand. As we also wanted the opportunity to expand beyond one restaurant, we moved our family to a town that we fell in love with years ago. We believe Eggs Up Grill is a perfect fit for the Savannah market, and we look forward to bringing our guests a great-tasting All-American meal.â
With seating for 92, this 2,600-square-foot restaurant is designed to make guests feel at home. As the Berwick community in Savannah is a central hub experiencing booming growth, the new Eggs Up Grill will be focused on serving neighbors and becoming a destination for everyone. âWe want to go beyond serving food and actually experience life with our guests like they are part of our family,â said Heath. âBeing part of the community is critical to our success, and we are dedicated to building relationships with the people and organizations that make this such a fantastic town.â
The Savannah restaurant employs 25-30 team members, including a mix of part-time and full-time employees for both front- and back-of-house positions.
Eggs Up Grill currently operates 46 restaurants in four states â Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina. In addition to the Savannah restaurant, a location in Canton, Ga. also opened this month.
Eggs Up Grill provides great-tasting, freshly prepared breakfast and savory lunch options, and beginning the first quarter of 2021, this restaurant will also be one of the first new restaurants to roll out mimosa options. At Eggs Up Grill, guests experience delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere, delivered with a smile, or on the go with takeout and delivery options.
Menu categories include breakfast sandwiches, benedicts, omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toast, as well as classic breakfast entrees, home-fry bowls and fan-favorite muffins. The full menu is available open to close with lunch choices including burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads. The menu also offers heart-healthy and gluten-friendly options and a kidsâ menu. Family Bundle meals are offered for takeout and delivery, providing an easy way to feed four people starting at $25. Additionally, the new Savannah Eggs Up Grill will be focused on proving itself as a top catering go-to for the large number of thriving businesses located in close proximity to the restaurant.
