Eggs Up Grill’s newest location in Riverview, FL is taking part in the Black Restaurant Week campaign, driving awareness about entrepreneurship opportunities
Eggs Up Grill in Riverview, Fl. is part of Black Restaurant Week and was spotlighted by Tampa’s Fox station. The national campaign celebrates Black-owned restaurants, provides a chance to spotlight how Black business owners can rise to the top, and aims to support the restaurants during the pandemic.
Owner John Conyers spoke to Fox 13 about taking part in the event and the possibility of entrepreneurship.
“You can do anything you put your mind to as long as you have focus. You can do anything and stay committed to it,” said John.
Conyers, along with his wife Priscilla and their friend and business partner Angela Perry recently opened the brand’s 44th restaurant and its first in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. John is a local firefighter and Priscilla and Angela are both pharmacists.
“It’s our first restaurant to have and for them to select us to be a part of it, we’re excited, ”said John. “We just want to keep it going for the future to come, for the other minorities that’s coming about.”
