Newly-signed franchisee and experienced restaurateur, Andre Smith has signed on with Eggs Up Grill in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Since its founding in 1997 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, Eggs Up Grill has made a name for itself in the breakfast segment by serving up delicious food in welcoming restaurants across the Southeast.
In the past year, multi-unit deals in Wilmington, North Carolina, Ocala, Florida, South Carolina, North Georgia, and Savannah, Georgia have propelled the brand’s growth, as have single restaurant signings in Asheville, North Carolina, Johnson City, Tennessee, Tampa, Florida and Gastonia, North Carolina. Now, entrepreneur Andre Smith—an experienced restauranteur and business owner—has signed on to open an Eggs Up Grill restaurant in the Charlotte suburb of Fort Mill, South Carolina, with plans to expand with additional locations in the Charlotte market.
Smith partnered with Kevin and Shelley Trayer to bring Eggs Up Grill to the Ft. Mill market. Kevin is a commercial airline pilot based in Texas and has been a close friend of Smith for many years. Smith started his career working in restaurants as a part-time cook while still in college. While still in school, he worked his way into mgt., and after graduation became the location’s General Manager. Andre continued to work in the industry, opening his own restaurant, Sports City Grill while also become a real estate investor.

The restaurateur plans on opening his first location within the next 6 to 12 months with hopes of bringing an additional 5 locations to the market.
